Big data, Databricks and now also Synapse Analytics. Microsoft really focuses on how to put together BI and DWH solutions that can handle huge volumes of data. But what about the “ordinary” solutions in the SME market? How do we create a sensible and affordable Azure solution for them? Where we can reuse the competencies from making the same solutions on SQL Server.
This blog post will give you an introduction and show you how to setup a very simple ETL framework based on Data Factory, Data Lake, SQL DB and Power BI.

Unfortunately this session has not been recorded at any of the conferences, where I presented. Or at least it hadn’t been published public and I don’t have access to it either.
I have now added the Transform Pipeline as a template to the GitHub repo: https://github.com/justBlindbaek/TraditionalModernDW
The Master Pipeline is just a matter of calling the other pipelines in the right order.
